An auger filler is often the starting point for fine or dusty powders. Its screw, hopper and discharge path are assessed against bulk density, flow behavior and the required dose. Product trials help establish how consistently a real powder can be filled into a narrow stick pack.
Powder movement through the forming tube matters as much as dosing. Dust in the seal area, humidity sensitivity and product build-up can affect seal quality, cleaning and changeover. COTECH reviews the powder and proposed laminate together before confirming the filling and sealing configuration.
The machine can be planned as a single-lane or multi-lane system. Coding, inspection, counting and collection can be discussed with downstream packing requirements, so the finished line reflects your output target rather than a generic machine specification.

Formats
Stick width and length, target fill weight, seal layout and lane count are set from the product and finished-pack brief. The slim format is often used for portable single servings of coffee, drink mixes and nutritional powders.
Tell us whether sticks will be sold individually, grouped in strips or collected into cartons. The required handling after sealing affects how the machine and any downstream equipment should be arranged.
Laminates
Heat-sealable multilayer films are commonly evaluated for powder stick packs. Moisture sensitivity, barrier needs, shelf-life goals and the intended opening experience help determine the film structure.
If you have a proposed laminate, send its specification and a roll sample. Seal performance, registration and machinability should be confirmed through trials with the actual powder and film.
